Businesses in Karnataka usually come to me past the idea stage. There is already a product, or a process that works but has outgrown what it runs on, and the question is how to build the next version without repeating the mistakes of the first. That is a better place to start from than a blank page, because the constraints are real and the decisions can be argued from evidence.
Projects here tend to start with a scoping session rather than a proposal. I would rather spend two hours understanding what your system actually does than send an estimate based on a paragraph. After that the shape is consistent: a written scope split into launch and later, a staging environment from week one, and two-week increments you can see working. Teams in Bengaluru usually have their own engineers, so I set expectations early about where my scope ends and yours begins — ambiguity there is the single most common way these engagements go wrong.
For Karnataka, the projects I see most often fall into three bands. A focused SaaS build with authentication, one core workflow, billing and an admin panel runs ₹4–7 lakh over eight to twelve weeks. A multi-role platform with integrations and a real permissions model runs ₹8–15 lakh over three to four months. A bounded piece of work inside an existing product — an AI feature, a mobile app, a performance rescue — usually sits between ₹2 and ₹5 lakh. Those numbers move with scope, not with the technology, and the largest single factor is how clearly the requirements are written before anyone starts.
There is no team behind me and nothing is subcontracted. The person you scope the project with is the person writing the code, which removes an entire category of translation loss. The trade is capacity — I take a small number of projects at a time, and I will tell you if I cannot start when you need to.
The repository lives under your account and the cloud infrastructure is provisioned in yours. You should never be in a position where changing developer means losing your product. Handover documentation is part of the work rather than something negotiated at the end.
